How to get to teiku? can I arrive with a suitcase ?
Here you find instructions to get to Teiku!
Yes, normally you can get help by a moto taxi (at a cost) to get your suitcase to Teiku. In the rainy season (september to october) the motos can sometimes not pass the river, and you can ask us for help to carry the suitcase. Make sure you arrive before it is dark, 18.00.

Do you have a volunteering program in Teiku?
We offer programs that include working with us on the farm, but they do have a cost. Read more about our programs here!

Are there lots of bugs?
Yes, we live in a tropical climate in nature. The bugs are bearable though, but we recommend bringing long pants and repellent (we also sell natural repellent in our shop).

Is there wifi ?
We have wifi 90% of the time, during rainy season we might have electricity problems.

Whats the weather like?
The climate here is tropical, and it is normally sunny and hot.
In may and september-december we have the rainy season, a rain jacket/umbrella, and bots can be useful.

Do we need to pay for entering Tayrona park to arrive?
No, we are 5km from the entrance.

Yes, with 6% transaction fee

Buena Vista mall in Santa Marta is the closest ATM

What should I bring?
- Comfortable working clothes and working shoes
- Flash light or head lamp
- Sunscreen + hat (the sun is strong here)
- Boots + rain jacket (in rainy season)
- Repellent (we also have a natural one in our shop)
- Personal toiletries for shower (ecological toiletries only, we sell some products in our shop)

Do you have ayuhuascha/yage ceremonies? Temazcal ?
No, we don't host these ceremonies at Teiku.

What activities and events are you hosting in Teiku?
This varies from week to week.
- morning practices like yoga/meditation (when we have someone to lead this staying with us)
- weekly circle of learning to weave the traditional mochila of the Sierra Nevada tribes
- Thursday night community sharing circle with cacao
- Fire in the maloka every night (often we share music and nice converstions around the fire)
- Permaculture courses and DIY natural skin care workshops
- We also have different activities from week to week that our visitors share with each other. Sometimes there is other events that people from outside Teiku host here, like: dance, cacao ceremonies, creative workshops.
